Lately I've come across a lot of drugstore must-haves
so I thought I would enlighten you with my faves.
All of these can be found at your local pharms
and most of them cost less than $5.
My most recent find and something that I
plan on using FOREVER. It's proven to be
a miracle worker for my parched face.
I've blogged about this a few times before and on
any given day you can find someone in the blogosphere
raving about it. It's magical. I use it on my lips, around
my eyes at night, on my cheeks for a rosy glow, and
around my cuticles. I keep a tin on my nightstand,
one in my bag, and one at the office. I have depended
on this stuff for almost a decade now!
I'm a third generation Olay gal.
Nanny and Mother have always used it so I figure
I should, too. I use this in the day and something
I used to never use make-up remover. But then I kept
reading how terrible leftovers were for your skin.
Dirt and oils trapped in your pores can speed up
the aging process and I'm just not having that.
I still get carded and plan to for at
least another 10 years.
This stuff has been around since 1935!
It's inexpensive and the box is pretty. And it softens
the shine. I have tendency to glow like the North Star -
I have the misfortune of sensitive skin and when it gets
really dry, my PH balance gets all out of whack and
works double time resulting in an oil slick.
Because who wants skin cancer?
I have developed a slight addiction to nail polish.
I can't walk into a Rite Aid without that voice in my head
screaming "ALL OF THE COLORS!". My new fave?
Kook-A-Mango. I heard coral was in right now.
I used to think that aloe vera was only good for a
sunburn. Nope. This stuff clears up itchy, dry skin.
And it smells good, too.
Another recent find. JR Watkins has been around
since 1868 and is America's original natural apothecary
manufacturer. Obvs they're doing something right.
Since I work around germ-laden kids every day,
I wash my hands constantly which causes my mitts to get
super dry. And the little travel tins are quite handy.
I have a love-hate relationship with my hair.
I loathe combing out the tangles and it never
seems to stay styled so by the end of the day
it's either in a pony or a haphazard top knot.
I forgot what I love about it.
I have tried out a bazillion frizz fighters and I always
come back to this stuff. It only takes a dab - even
with my long locks - so a bottle will last about a year.
What are your fave drugstore finds?
